Changelog

What changed, and when.

Named specifically enough to be checked. Fixes are listed alongside features, because a changelog that only mentions the good news is not a record of anything.

  1. Shipped

Every claim now carries its source, its timestamp and a content hash

Anything Magdox writes about a competitor is linked to the observation behind it: the page it was read from, the moment it was read, and the SHA-256 of the content. You can open the receipt from any line, and export every claim shown in a period with its sources. A statement that cannot be tied to an observation is marked as unsourced rather than shown alongside the ones that can.

  2. Shipped

A connected assistant can now read the past

Two new tools for the assistant connector. One returns the capture history of a competitor's tracked pages - when each was checked, when it actually changed - which is the question no assistant can answer for itself, because it was not watching. The other returns the observation ledger behind what we have reported.

  3. Shipped

iCIMS joins the hiring integrations, and boards are found automatically

Hiring now covers six applicant tracking systems. More usefully, adding a competitor no longer means finding their board identifier yourself: Magdox reads their careers page for it, and fills it in for competitors added before this shipped.

  4. Shipped

A score showing where your coverage has gaps

The dashboard now answers whether this is working, specifically: how many competitors have a hiring board configured, whether pages are actually being checked, whether anyone is opening the briefs, and whether deal outcomes are being recorded. Available on the free health check as well as every paid plan.

  5. Fixed

The page archive was not recording anything

Captures were failing on their first write and taking the whole hourly pass with them, so the side-by-side page view and the 'changed without an announcement' findings were empty. Both now work, and a single failure no longer stops the rest of the pass.

  6. Fixed

Editing a competitor no longer erases its hiring board

Saving the edit form cleared the board identifiers, so slugs entered by hand disappeared the next time anyone changed a name or a URL. A field the form does not send is now left alone.

  7. Fixed

    Invoices for fully discounted signups

A signup on a 100% discount was offered an invoice download that could not exist - the payment provider does not issue one for a zero-value transaction - and the failure was shown as a raw error. The download is offered only where an invoice exists, and amounts on the billing page were also displaying a hundred times too small.

  8. Changed

Teammate invitations are limited to your own email domains

An invitation must now go to a domain your organisation already uses. Organisations spanning more than one work domain keep working without configuration, and a forwarded invitation link can no longer be claimed by an address the admin never approved.

See it on your own competitors.

Setup takes minutes, the price is published, and the record starts the day you do.
